Sampling 80s folk band Dream Academy, “Sunchyme” was one of the seminal dance anthems of the 90s and a huge hit across Europe and America.
Newcastle resident (and no stranger to life in a northern town) Felix Leiter has remade the Dario G classic for 2010 and turned it into a grooving slice of modern house music.
Felix is the resident DJ at Digital Newcastle – one of the UK’s best underground venues and has recently hit the Beatport charts with “Go For That” and tracks on CR2 records.
Remixes come from Riley & Durrant who turn out a straight-up main-room house banger that took the roof off Ministry of Sound and Gatecrasher last weekend, and a tribal thumper from Dirty Secretz, who’s tracks are getting support from the likes of David Guetta, Kim Fai, Dave Spoon and Robbie Rivera.
